What is your strategy? or Are you just picking players for the sake of picking players?

Bit light in ruck, and can't justify ziebell being much help, won't go up much in price and won't get many massive games

Gee Nicholas I dont know about your theory with Ziebell. Had he not broke his leg would of been a huge rising star chance and thus has started this year with a low price. A potential of a cash cow I believe for sure. He will get the games he is very versatile and I think he could make you at least 180k. I am working off the theory he would be priced much the same as his peers had he not injured his leg. He has showed north he is versatile and has had a good pre season.I wont get a 2nd year rookie for 400k or a second year rookie at all unless there are circumstances that effect his starting price that I believe outweigh the risk. Just my theory.
Cheers

IMHO you are taking way tooooo many "risk" players. I've left the players in above quote that I believe to be "risk players"

However, thats why I asked what is your strategy?

Suppose you might get 2-3 right but fear you might get far more wrong and have to eat quite a few donuts or burn some trades to cover the donuts.

Hi Talkin Footy
I must agree there are heaps of risk players there. A few I might punt on. Dangerfield and of course Ziebell LOL. Am interested as to why you listed Kruezer as a risk player? Is that because he is named as primary ruck? Or still a bit young, or may be used a lot more as a roaming half forward with Warnock possibly providing a good backup now?
Cheers

There is only one strategy to supercoach, and that is to pick the players that will consistantly score you the most points with the money you are given. But in saying that with no risk comes no reward. Theres no point picking players that everyone else does because then you have no chance of winning. So i read in the paper that zeibell will be a regular starter in the roo's midfield, Cotchin and Dangerfield were in outstanding form in their intraclub matches. Murphy averaged over 100 1 or 2 yeard before he had trouble with injury. i dont really see kruezer as a risk, Charman i picked really just to save some coin. Kenelly was a reasonable sc scorer, nothing outstanding, but if he can find his form then hopefully will be a good risk. The others i am jut hopefull they can make me some money whilst scoring reasonably well.
Cheers

Ok ... I have no problems with what you are saying.

However, to be "consistently score you the most points" ... you need them to be consistently playing the most games.

How many games are you expecting out of? ... Howard, Carlisle, Gawn, McNamarra, Butcher

Now with Kennedy ... Is it Josh or Ayden?

& with Dyson ... Is it Joshua or Ricky?

Now dont get me wrong ... I'm not saying you have to fill your team with no risk players ... because I dont think there is such a thing. However, I think you have to limit and manage the injury risks.

IMHO there are also what I like to call "positional risks" ... IMHO Kruezer falls into that category.

However, thats the great thing about this game ... its all just a matter of opinions.

Ps Gawn is recovering from a serious injury and on a modified training program ... I would be amazed in we see him in 2010 playing AFL.
