My first observation is you are playing with way tooooo many players classified as Rucks.

My second observation would be ... "its too safe" ... this is a team that could get easily get strangled for cash. So in practice you may start well ... but trying to find the cash to upgrade many of your players may prove to be very difficult.

Your team simply green presents massive problems - it could go pear shaped very early.
I agree with TF that money in this set up will become a problem.
By having Buckley and Ladson in defence means you are not using the new interchangable rule to your advantage.

Thomas Rusling Tuck Obrien Cheney Buckley and Ladson must be viewed with some concerns.

Best of Luck

Guys,

Here is V2.

After my changes I now find myself with $138,700 in the bank. What are your thoughts? Should I spend it now via upgrading (and if so who?) or hang on to it and spend it prior to round 3?

I realise I still need to take advantage of the new interchange rules (which I plan to do).

Also, what are your thoughts on my ruck combination? I know it’s different; does it work in relation to my team? If not, should I upgrade to Sandi or Nat which seems to be the 'norm'?

Hi it looks looks better but here's what i'd try but its only IMHO

Replace Mcintosh with Sandi,

Replace Burgoyne with Dustin Martin,

i know most teams will have Martin but he will get a lot of game time at richmond so is well worth it and i think Burgoyne is injured again isn't he?

You could then get either

enright or hodge instead of waite

If you went with hodge you could also upgrade L Jetta to Giansiracusa or Robert Gray or who ever

If you went with Enright you could upgrade jetta with the likes of J Roughead or Tredrea.

Just some things for you to consider. Good luck with it

UPDATE:
Sandilands IN, McIntoush OUT
Remaining Cash: $86,600

bigfella0726: Martin is an interesting choice. I know I need to get rid of Burgoyne and by doing this it frees up more cash for upgrades which is good. What are other peoples thoughts?

Bobby Dazler: I would like your thoughts on my updated team. Is it any better now?

TalkingFootball: What changes do you think I need to make?

Also, I am kinda hoping Waite would be right to go from round one and he would play a bigger roll in the forward line with Fev gone. Has he played any of the preseason? I haven't heard about him.

Thanks Guys

Team looks to be a tad stronger simply greeny - well done
I really like your pick of Boyd and hope you get the luck you are looking for in your backline.

On Waite (I'm a carlton nut) he came back last week against WCE and played a half.
I think Ratten will use Waite at the start of the year at CHB - he's a confidence player.

Best Of Luck

Hey Guys,

Here is V3.

Cash Remaining $127,000

I am pretty sure I have the right 'cashcows' in my team, do you agree? ( I will look to change just before lock-out?)

I believe I have now taken advantage of the new interchange rules moving Goode and Hodge into my team. Agreed?

Can you see any potential upgrades/changes I could make or is there anyone I have taken out of my team that I should put back in?

Cheers

PS. Sorry for so many posts but there are 16 Slabs on the line this year for the winner of my league.

No problems ... my type of bet ...

I would probably consider a few positional changed

1/ Hodge to my backline instead of Newman ... gives me 525 K in my mid's

I would probably buy a Cooney and use the spare cash elsewhere.

2/ If you think Tippett can hold a forward spot then he surely can hold down a ruck spot. At the current stage you have 6 players in your line-up classified as Rucks ... IMHO thats a recipe to miss out on a fast moving cash cow elsewhere ...

I would move Tippet to my rucks ...

With the 493k+ ... I would probably target one of Harvey or Higgins

Essentially you would have traded Newman + Jolly for Conney & Harvey or Higgins plus some change to invest elsewhere.

Plus the small added advantage of utilising the MPP rule if forced to sell .. combining Goodes into the possible movement ie play as either forward or mid.

Just a thought

Just a thought
Is that a dogs support I hear TF or is it just the year of the dogs? I will look into this a bit however I don't like the idea of have two people from the one team in the same section of the feild (ie. if I got Conney I would have him and Boyd)

UPDATE:
Hodge to the backline.
Newman OUT, Vince IN
Cash Remaining: $132,000
