My thoughts are, this modern era sports players ARE role models.
They're shown to be so through the media and advertised to go to hospitals and off-field events for that fact.
Now they're paid alot of money for the field work and alot of that money comes from sponsorship.
I believe if a player is in a contract with a sponsorship deal he is indeed a role model.
Thats my belief.
The bottom line the media have proclaimed sports stars as role models since like what the 60's when you start playing AFL you wanna make it in the big leagues like ** eg: Lockett - As that was mine ** __________________
