Corporate tickets or not..if you are dedicated enough, i think you will find a ticket no matter what if you really want to be there, ive been to 2 grand finals, 1993 and 2000...and both times i went directly from the prelim final to the Essendon footy club and camped there until tickets went on sale...luckily it was school holidays in the 93 case..and in 2000 i scored the monday off work.

then people start whinging that they missed out on tickets after sleeping in their warm beds for 2 nights then rocking up to the club at lunch time on monday and wondering why they missed out...wheres the dedication.

other mates have waited outside the passouts gate on gf day and bought a pass out off the leaving tac cup players after they have played..thats a common one.

it is a weird atmosphere on gf day tho, you get your loud pockets..but overall its no where near as loud as an anzac day game or a prelim final, the corporates are probably too busy sipping their wine to cheer.

i seriousley dont understand why the league would sell so many to corporates...surely if all participating club members got their tickets...thats say 75 000(approx), surely 20,000 is enough to dish out to corporates and the rest..that would give proper incentive to get a club membership, would give the best atmosphere. but as brades says the afl don't think like football fans....they think whats going to keep their sponsorship dollars rolling in...

a small consolation is if its so hard to get a ticket..it makes it so much sweeter if you get one
