Trent Cotchin sounds like this kid is getting heavily touted as the second pick in this years national draft.

Cotchin entered the TAC Cup as 15-year-old in the under-16 competition and played six games with the Knights in 2006.

He captained the Victoria Metro side at last year's under-16 carnival and received an AIS Scholarship as part of his All-Australian honours.

Cotchin returned to the Metro side this year for the recent national under-18 championships.

Anybody got any more details on him?

Was hyped up a lot, but did jack **** in the U18 carnival, from what I saw against WA and reports on the other games. From what I've heard he's a well built mid/HFF with good acceleration and kicks well on both sides of his body.

Trent was touted prior to the carnival as equal to Matthew Kruezer.

Did not have a great carnival and has probably sliiped in recruiters estimations of him, however, one carnival does not take away his undoubted ability and massive potential.

He will go in the first 5 for sure!

A quality midfielder with great leadership qualities.
