Default Cyril Rioli AFL 2007 Draft Talk

Name: Cyril Rioli
Height: 178
Weight: 74
State (Territory): Northern Territory
Club(s): St Mary's

He will probably start in a forward pocket, eventually he will be rotated through the midfield and forward spots. A smart coach will use him to create mismatches, if he has an onballer against him in the middle he could go forward where his skills around goal would give him a big advantage. There could also be times when Rioli is isolated as a small full forward.

Surely the Tigers are going to be interested.

he sounds just like richard tambling...
And i know how much people like to bag tambling, so, i hope rioli doesnt have to go through the same.
But i think we'll get Cotchin.

Cyril should be better than Tambling, so I don't think he'll get bagged.
Tambling was a really high draft pick ahead of Franklin and heaps of people expected him to bloom, but he hasn't delivered. Rioli's probably a tad more faster and he can kick more goals than Tambling. I don't care whoever we get, either, Rioli, Palmer or Ebert. Morton and Cotchin should go early.

Cyril won't go that high. Freo are looking at him for Pick 7.

If Sheedy was still here my money would be on us getting Rioli, however I now fancy us taking Masten if he lasts to 6. With all the talk here about Morton and Palmer from WA it appears this kid may have slipped from top 3 down to us which would suit us perfecty.

Rioli will probably go late first round.

You dont need Masten, you need some faster midfielders.
