Default Patrick McGinnity - 2007 AFL Draft Talk

Patrick McGinnity (WA)
Height : 182cm
Weight : 75kg

This is what recruiters had to say about him :-
Recruiter 1: He was hard at-it and played in a similar vein to the traditional Victoria Metro midfielder. He refuses to give-up the ball with any ease. While he is not the flashiest player going around, he definitely has the level of commitment required for us to follow him in future matches
Recruiter 2: An impressive type of player who was in and under at most opportunities. He rarely lost a one-on-one contest – a player who like Rhys Palmer, set the tempo for Western Australia.

Just interested seeing who has heard of this guy & what they think of him,
since he has gone rather unnoticed in the fantastic WA midfield.

Shut down Cotchin in the WA vs. VM game - has deceptively good pace and obviously excellent work ethic. Didn't play WAFL seniors (Claremont have a good WAFL team), but has the potential to turn out to be a very good tagger at AFL level. Probably a 3 rounder - though Dean Polo went 20 in 2004 on the back of some good tagging performances at the carnival so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes higher.
