umm...very interesting, I was thinking he'll go in the top 35, but not in the top 10. He is a tough hard nut, so he could be one that could slip up the order a little.

Your recruiting staff seem to think so. And hey, they are employed to do that.

PS: Why'd you take Ebert? Thats the LAST thing the saints need.

Well first of all I know nothing about the draft at all, and I don't claim to. But when you think about it, the Saints have quality tall forwards (Riewoldt and Kosi), a quality small in Milne, an excellent tall defense (Maguire, Fisher and Hudghton), some great small rebounding backmen (Fisher and Gram) and have just stocked up their rucks. Their midfield is still pretty good, but Harvey and Hayes are getting on and they don't a have a big midfielder in the Kouta or Voss mould. Ebert, at 187cm fills that spot, so I don't know that he's the last thing they need at all.
A young ruckman would have probably been a good choice as a developmental player, but like I said I know nothing about it. Dunno any ruckmen but Kreuzer.

I honestly dont think theyve 100% decided on Morton yet. And they certainly havent said anything about taking him.

But even if we rate him equal with Cotchin, i think we'll take Cotchin if not for anything but hes a Victorian, so is less likely to do a Judd on us and piss off once hes the best in the lleague.

Ok yes they have some quality talls up forward and thats not what I was getting at. Its the defense they lack. They don't have a great full back in Hudghton and Fisher is a tall HBF rebounder with not an ounce of defensive capability in him. They need Rance or someone to slot in straight at Full back. Hayes is only 27, they have Montagna, Goddard, Dal Santo, Harvey, Armitage, Clarke and Jones to run through their midfield, all of good or great quality, they dont need an adition there.

I do know a few ruckmen in the draft other than Kruezer, but I dont think that would be beneficial to StKilda right now.

They talked to all the top candidates, most teams will do. Freo didn't talk to Ebert and Rioli, obviously ruling us out on taking them.

Morton won't do a Judd on you because of his brother and he and his family are not well liked by WCE and I can't see him wanting to go to Freo to be honest.

Morton is made for Richmond, absolutely made for them. They'd be stupid if they didn't pick him.

We'd be stupid not to take Morton over Cotchin, the player who is "by far the best midfielder in the draft"???

But you don't need midfielders, thats the key. You have a great crop of young midfielders and some experienced ones.

PS: Morton could develop into a Goodes style midfielder. Has the same style of play - you'd be silly not to take that - look at how awesome he is due to his height.
