3 - T.Cotchin/C.Masten/B.Ebert (would want Cale more than Masten, but doesn't seem that WC are even considering him?)
13 - D.Myers/C.Rioli/R.Palmer/J.Grant (good player/expected first rounder that slides)
20 - A.Maric/T.Bellchambers/D.Simpson/C.Ward
22 - C.Ward/A.Joseph/D.Simpson/L.Greenwood

The Bombers have stated they believe they have drafted enough midfielders in the last two years. They intend to take the best player available. They are showing strong interest in a young ruckman from Vic, Ben McEvoy (I think is his name). He is rated the second best ruckman in the draft behind Kruezer. They are also showing interest in a couple of the West Australian talls, according to the Herald Sun. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another Kepler Bradley, also taken no 6. lol

Simpson yes, Bellchambers probably not.

McEvoy is in the Ottens mold of Forward come Ruckman.

This is good news for Freo wanting Palmer/Myers. Personally I think it will be Myers, reports in the West say he is being very well looked at by Freo as a future captain.

I have been watching the pre season draft for many years and rarely do I know any of the youngsters before other than by name,I may have seen some play in the local SANFL but even then it is hard to make a judgement on their capabilities unless you see them week in and week out, do you make your judgements on the so called experts. If you do then maybe you should check out what your club needs or what you perceive they need then make judgement on the physical attributes of the individual.

i've seen McEvoy play (live) and there's no way he's in the Ottens mould from what i saw of him. he's more like David Hale if you ask me. however, i was really impressed with Shaun McKernan (brother of Corey) who i felt beat McEvoy in the ruck, and he isn't even eligible to be drafted yet. McKernan is tiny for ruckman (although still growing, of course) but moves around the ground like a midfielder and kicks goals just like his brother. McEvoy struggled to keep up with him.

I meant in the fact that he can play forward well and can apparently play Ruck well... not that he was an absolute tank of a guy. Thats what I was meaning by the ottens comment. David Hale has never been a great forward line player, but good in the ruck at times so McEvoy is not like him.

after some careful analysis, these are my hopefuls.

6 - Rhys Palmer (we need a midfielder)
23 - Cyril Rioli (if he's available)
39 - Darcy Daniher (father/son)
55 - Thomas Rockliff (if he's eligible)

Cyril won't be available at 23 thats a 100% guarentee.
