He's not stupid (despite what people think, he's actually a highly intelligent business man) and he knows that if he wants to return, it's for a considerably less amount of money. He's nominated himself, so he must be okay with that. He obviously just wants one more year, and a crack at a premiership. And yes, if he kicked 59 goals last year in a struggling injury ridden team I don't see one reason why he can't get close to that again, especially if the Saints go well, as I think they will.
