Adelaide were impressed with his maturity, Port weren't at all. Maturity off the field doesn't win you flags.

We did freshen it up with 3 youngsters that Harvey said he would do. 7,24 and 40 were for young midfielders while if we want a Premiership next year we get experience in Kepler and Johnson who has been impressing with his test results (he did some 20m sprint stuff - same times as when he was a 25 year old). We get 4 Rookies too to add to Chris Smith still on our rookie list, so its not like we don't get to freshen it up. Rookie lists are important to a team like us with an experienced list, trying to push for a flag, but also developing 5 guys that arent on our main list so that one day they may be.

Great_Source knights reckons ryder wont stay chb, it was just a stop gap thing,... he said he chose the tall rangy quick backs so he could be more flexible with gumbledon and ryder in the future.

also! in the end we maybe could have traded johnno and/or bradley to freo for a higher pick in trade week instead of being stubborn asking for a round 2/3 pick

i notice we only have like hilleand lay**** on our list as rucks..and ryder as a fill in...hopefully we can rookie list one of the decent rucks that missed out

Yeah, I heard him say that as well, but I wrecken he'll be really good a CHB when he stocks up. Bellchambers might be a good pick up in the rookie / pre-season draft for us, as he is a pretty good young ruckman.

He's a really pacey midfielder, he's still on the Rookie list, but they liked him enough to keep him on the rookie list for a second year, so he might see something this year, otherwise if he continues to impress at WAFL level he'll be on the list in 2009 for sure. I saw him on ABC2 when watching a WAFL game, saw this pacey young guy and thought, wow, that guy might be in the draft this year.. then I found out who this Chris Smith was and he was on our list.

I was suprised that Tarrant got picked up first round...i was thinking hed go around pick 40 or 50.

And why did Richmond choose Putt over Bellchambers?
Does anyone know Putt?
Hes 202cm and 90kg, so hes a big boy, but can he play?

Thrilled with Cotchin and especially Rance at 18.
