I knew if you got him you'd say something similar to that.....
Myers will be an absolute gun, looking back, glad we got Myers instead of Palmer. (It was hard to say, but it's true !! )

Say something similar? If you looked at Bigfooty from the middle of the season onwards when we started to talk about the draft etc I was on the Palmer wagon.

Palmer is better than myers, but I wouldn't have minded Myers if we didn't get Palmer.

Not to sure about that, we'll see when they get a tad older...........
Myers has absolutely sublime foot skills, and his teammates continually handballed the ball to him, that's why he ranked 2nd overall at the carnival for hanball receives. Myers got a faster 20m sprint than him as well. Myers also won the Ron Barassi Medal for the best player in the Australia vs. Ireland series at under 17 level. But we'll see when they get older, no-one can really tell now, but I wrecken the Bombers might have a gem on their hands.......

And Palmer should have won the Larke medal (Robbed by Morton who as people have stated didnt deserve it) and won WA's best and fairest for the carnival over Myers.

Very very happy but Palmer was the one to get instead of Masten but its all good.

Masten--Ebert--Notte--Selwood.

Im happy with our selections Masten, Ebert, Notte and Selwood.
Masten--The young lad has very good football skills and a football brain, combine that with a big tank(endurance) he should be a star in years to come.

Ebert--Surprised we grabed him because i thought he would go early in the draft(top-10).Can play diff roles-Midfield-Forward.

Notte--Notte to sure about this young lad but he is a forward player so maybe in 2 years he will get his chance.I will look at him closely in the WAFL.

Selwood--If he is anything like his brothers then i am happy. From what i hear he loves a contest and thrives on going hard at the ball.Has great skill and a football brain. Im sure his older bro will show him the ropes around the club and make him feel at home.

No Palmer but i hope Freo are happy with Palmer.....Bugger.

Dangerfield-Love the name. Alot of pressure on him to perform when he finishes school. Still wish we had taken Ebert but time will tell. Very fast.

Otten-Prolific ball winner and strong overhead (like Ebert) good endurance and im pretty sure he won the Oakleigh Chargers B&F

Jacky-Very excited by this young aboriginal boy which will bring some much needed pace and genuine goalkicking to our forward line.

Cook-Aparently is extremely fast. Never seen him play but lets hope he brings some much needed speed to the midfield.

Armstrong-Aboriginal medium back (Plays like Wirrapunda) hopefully give alot of rebound of backline. Bestfriends with Walker.

Kite-Looks and plays like Dale Thomas. Needs to put on some kilos but exciting prospect.

Walker-Exciting forward with pace and touted at top 20 pick if not on scholarship.

I was disgusted at the start but ive settled down abit now. Only time will tell.

And just to add to that, one of his teammates in the squad was Bryce Gibbs, and he played better than him throughout the series. Just read that, you little beauty!...., the next Pendlebury (As they are both 190cm) but with way superior skills. Wonder when him and Tayte Pears will start playing, Knights has said he'll play the young kids, they might play in the NAB Cup, but I think they'll have to prove themselves first in Bendigo's side..?...! Bring on '08 !!

Cotchin, goes without saying. Ecstatic about Rance. By far the best tall defender in the draft. I can't believe he slipped to 18. Was known as a rebounding defender who can match it with the small blokes, despite being 192 cms and close to 90 kilos. with Putt too, we considered taking him at 18 but Rance was there. To get him as our third pick is a great result. 202 cm tall power forward/ruckman, very athletic and one attractive man if I may say so.

Yeah but they were playing Ireland at the round ball game, so its not exactly that special to be honest.. not that I'm saying he's **** cause I would have taken him at 7 had Palmer been taken at 6. But yeah, its not like he won the medal for Australia v Australia
