Still just goes to show what a raffle the draft can be. Sure, the top 10 are usually great, but some real stars will always develop from the later picks. Some boys don't become men until later than others. It's always interesting watching young players develop, or not develop. James Hird was taken pretty late also.

apart from krewzer, did carltom get any1 else good? im say no coz they gave there other 2 highest picks to wce

They got Stephen Browne at 36, a rebounding HBF who had a very good carnival last yr (as did most the WA team) - probably went a bit lower than most were expecting, and Armfield at 46, a 21yr old utility, that has been a consistent WAFL performer - he has a really positive Wisbey profile from a couple of years back, when he last nominated. They also got Aaron Joseph at no. 2 in the rookie draft who was AA U18 last yr and who I'm a fan of: I thought he was the 2nd best inside mid last yr to Masten.
