Palmer - really happy, I was pretending to Great Source that I didnt think he was good so I could snaffle him in the Phantom Draft.
Hinkley - Not sure, dont know enough about him, but he seems really quick and a good runner
Mayne - same as above about not knowing him, but has good hands etc, and a local product
Johnson - eh.. experience may be worth it
Bradley - , I really rate Bradley and his time at Essendon has made him become somewhat of an apparent "hack", but he is really talented in the right positions.

6 - Myers... OHHHHHHHHHHH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
23 - Pears... oh that's just great isn't it. another tall defender!
39 - Daniher... good value, but after actually seeing him play (live) i have my doubts.
54 - Hooker... another tall defender, ya gotta be joking. our recruiting manager needs to be sacked. sack him, sack him now!

effectively, 4 tall defenders if you include Darcy Daniher (forward/back). we didn't get a ruckman, when we probably needed 1 more on the list. Bellchambers would've been a monty for pick55, yet somehow got overlooked by everybody.
We didn't draft any midfielders (our biggest weakness). Rhys Palmer was a priority!
we sack Kepler Bradley.pretty much a tall defender throughout his time at Essendon (and end up getting nothing for him). then go out and draft more tall defenders. that's absurd.
i'm furious right now. absolutely furious.
we'll get back-to-back spoons !!

Richmond were the big winners in my book.

Cotchin worthy of no.1. (taken at no.2)
Rance worthy of top10. (taken at no.18)... i can't believe that !!

Tippaz, you are very much over reacting. You don't have any tall defenders are your club that are younger than 30. Kepler was never a tall defender and was never suited to it because he was just not confident in that role.

Rance wasn't worthy of Top 10 due to questions on his mobility.

hmmm true, it might be a bit of an over reaction tippaz...agreed id have snapped up palmer for sure, but here is adrian dordoros analysis...and it is his job and he gets paid to analyse this kind of thing....

We think we got the best player available with pick six in David Myers, He is a 191cm, genuine midfielder who has played a lot of time in the half-back position but we believe he has the ability to develop into a strong onballer or midfielder. He has sensational decision making ability and is in a league of his own with his leadership skills.

Tayte Pears was pick 23. Boasting impressive decision making ability and excellent use of the ball, Pears is a tall defender who hails from East Perth. We feel Tayte can handle a key defensive role within the side and we feel he has the ability to develop into a key midfield player
Securing the services of Daniher under the father/son rule is a massive bonus because he can play both ends of the ground, He probably follows the mould of Adam Hunter from West Coast in that he will provide an option down back or up forward.

Western Australian recruits were the order of the day for the Bombers who used their fourth selection, pick 54, to snatch up East Fremantle's 195cm-forward Cale Hooker,Cale is very, very quick and very exciting. He is a bit older and stands at 197cm and we thought he was worth the punt, given his exceptional athleticism.(could be another bradley story)

i know every recruiter talks up their catch so we will have to let time tell, would be good to get a ruckman as a rookie tho.

“In this draft we hoped to address the need to find a key midfielder and to address the succession plan for the next couple of years given key players Matthew Lloyd, Dustin Flecther and Scott Lucas won’t be here in a few years,"

Yeah but Hooker you may play up forward instead of Bradley. Bradley should have been a forward but Sheedy was stubborn and ended up almost ending his career.

yeh i agree, because bradley had a body shape like fletcher everybody just assumed he was going to be his successor, it really bugged me, you could see how uncomfortable he was down back. He kicked alot of goals playing as a forward in the vfl....i think he will end up being a solid player for freo

He'll be up forward or Rucking for Freo, we have 2 capable rucks but when one gets injured it can help to have him instead of 189cm Gilmore.
