kerr is too higher quality player for a straight swap. then it would come down to the roos offering a draft pick as well.

but yea one or two players like rosa and/or hansen plus an early second round pick is worthy.

also need to consider it could become a complex trade involving a third club etc etc and im not gonna bother even TRYING to explore that situation!!

(eg. rosa goes to bombers with a draft pick, kangaroos get gumby+ryder, and west coast get wells) just an example im not at all saying thats realistic!

I obviously hope he doesn't leave. People seem to be expecting Wells to be a 30++ possesion player and that's just not the role he playes. He generally works pretty hard and his 20 disposals will usually be of very high quality. IMO our midfield doesn't work anywhere near hard enough to involve Wells in the game or lay shephards etc. Look at the way West Coast used to protect Judd as he ran through the middle of the ground.

If he does leave North will want more than what he is worth so lets see what WCE are prepared to offer. Perhaps if Kerr really is unhappy then he could be part of a trade.

Don't leave Wellsy
I don't want him leaving either Borak. But as far as I know he loves Melbourne and the club itself. So it would suprise me if he did leave. I think the team prides it's self on it's professionalism and the way the players play for each other and they are a very tight nit bunch. Last I heard him and his wife Ria bought a house just up the road from her parents place.

I certainly don't want him leaving but at the same time there is no point in a player playing for your club when he doesn't want to be there playing for them. If for some strange reason he wanted to go I would be asking for a good ready made youngster and 1st round draft pick (sorry got a bit carried away there make it 2nd round)

I would not be happy if the roo's accepted those two for him. I would much prefer a draft pick because then we can choose what we want/need and if it backfires it's our own fault.

Out of those two I would want Rosa and a high 2nd round draft pick as I stated previously
