Default Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls Richmond - Hypothetical Trade

So far this highly rated youngster has not performed to his ability that he has shown in patches that he has

Richmond could receive another young player for him or a 1st round draft pick

any potential trades?

If you want a "1st round draft pick" you wont get it in this draft ... not a hope in hell. "If" you got offered a 5th rounder in this draft you should strongly consider. By all accounts this could be one of the best drafts ever. 1st, 2nd 3rd and early 4th round picks are worth plenty.

believe it or not, he's still one of the youngest players on the Richmond list. currently aged 21 (i think). that puts him in the bottom 5-10 players agewise. yet, it seems as though he's been around for years. top10 draft pick wasn't he? Tiges haven't got value for money, but i would certainly keep him around.

richmond will keep him around. he's actually quicker over 100m than deledio. he played his junior footy at the same club i play for. will become a good player for richmond.

He's staying at the Tigers. They won't want to lose him and see him blossom elsewhere especially when they paid so high for him to begin with.

All jokes aside ... on the balance of probabilities he will stay a Tiger!

Its like buying stocks on the stockmarket. You buy a stock for a $1.00 it drops to $0.10. You dont sell because you paid $1.00. Then you justify you $1.00 purchase by saying the only way is up!!!

Errrr... yer something like that! But you'd think we would have seen something from him by now!? How long do you think that he will need to be able to show that they can play some decent footy.

Look at the Tucks, Father Michael played over 200 reserves games at Hawthorn before his senior debut then went on to captain one of footballs greatest dynasties and play 426 senior games. Shane was delisted after being selected father/son and failing to perform at Hawthorn (I think 3 years). He went to the SANFL for a year and was given a 2nd chance at Richmond where he is now a vital cog in their midfield and will be a key to the tigers for years to come. Travis now at Hawthorn had struggled up to this year when he got early opportunities after a similar timeframe in the AFL. He hasn't cemented a spot yet but a midfield consisting of Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Crawford, Sewell and Young is tough to break into.

Some people just take time to adapt, another example would be Rodan who was pivotal in Ports run to the final last year after several years as an underperformer for the Tigers.

guess who's back

Richmond would be stupid to let go of JON just now, he's really starting to excel in the 2's, and should, if finals are out, be a given another, late, run this season.
Next year we hope will be his year!!!
