Default Ben McKinley - Trade Talk

A lot of talk coming out of WA in the past few months that he's keen on returning home at the end of this year.Apparently he requested a trade at the end of last year and was shopped around, but there was no interest in him, so he ended up signing a 1 year deal with West Coast. Rumours have it that Carlton, Melbourne and St Kilda have already expressed interested in him to his management.

What do you think is his trade worth is?
Which clubs should be targeting him?
Would you want him at your club?

I think he's worth a mid 2nd rounder on his own and would be a good fit for Carlton, Melbourne, St Kilda and Essendon.

I know for a fact we were interested last year, nothing I've seen this year would reduce our interest.

However, this year the draft is much, much stronger than last.

i rate him highly, but i don't think Essendon is a good fit (despite the fact he was a massive Essendon supporter before he got drated )
we've already got Neagle, Daniher, Gumbleton as potential key forwards along with mainstays Lloyd/Lucas.

late 1st round / early 2nd rounder, i think.

He's more a small lead and mark FP/HFF type at AFL level, rather than a key forward (he's only 184cm).

He will stay at the eagles for another 2-3 years at least I would think!
Late first round pick!

McKinley is probably worth a high second round pick.
Melbourne, Brisbane & Adelaide should be targetting him, but if he went anywhere, he would come back to Victoria.
I wouldn't mind him at the Bombers, but we've got a fair few half forward flankers now and wouldn't be keen on giving up an early second rounder in one of the last normal style drafts for a while until the new teams have completed their mission to go balastic in the draft.

Ben McKinley is a talented footballer with plenty of potential. If i was Ben, i would stick with the Eagles, because they have a good future ahead of themselves IMO. Good on the lead, deadly kick for goal. That's all you need as a forward and you will kick plenty of goals.
