Lose a mid for Houli/Armitage. Will allow you to get Cox and McNamara.

Cloke's on the up. Gilbee better VFM. Embley might be v. good value if he plays a full season. You'd expect to see him averaging 90, up from 80 last year. Of course though I'd rather have Cox though cos he's an extra midfielder on top of whoever you bring in for Embley.

i'd keep bird over mcnamara, sydneys highest scoring player in their 1st pre season game i think., gilbee is bulldogs designated kicker? i feel they'll be near bottom of ladder this year so will get a lot of extra kicks. i rate embley very highly (he's my fav player) if he can stay fit all year he'll be very damaging, i remember a few years ago, half way through the season he was near the top of the list for all aust till he got injured. had kicked more goals than any other midfielder halfway through the year.

squad looks good.

i don't like Newman + Mattner though. big gun + cheapo is my new motto.

second draft complete!..i have one worry tho, a few players that im not sure will get a run.......and being a thursday nite start, it might be tight between when weekend teams are named and the cutoff for trading kicks in......i can already picture a clogged laggy afl website at that time..with me stuck with players not paying cause i cant change them!..anyhow!..

BACKS
Cornes,Shaw,Gilbee,Waters,Symes,Mattner,Proud--Taylor/Thompson

Mids
Cross,Embley,Salopek,Jones,Houli,Armitage--Mcnamara/Palmer

Rucks
Cox,Gilmore--Hampson.Meesen

Forwards
Brown,Headland,Deledio,Burton,Porplyzia,Hall,Hill--Rioli/Gamble.

Im still nervy about the weaker mids......

im still tossing between gilbee + mattner out
John****+guerra in

i just cant decide on a defender to replace gilbee, i just dont think hes going to smash it this year..

thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about your weaker mids too much as I think Houli and Armitage are going to get a very good run especailly early on. Mcnamara/Palmer just wait until papers come out. Thursday is when DT really heats up!
I don't like Mattner, that said. I try and avoid all Sydney players other than Goodes and Hall. The team game style is not suited to DT for other players in this team as it revolves around getting the ball to these players.
