Default Ben's Coasters Dreamteam 2008

ok well im not going along very well so far but is always the case at the start of the season for me.

Backs:
Cornes, C
King, J
Birchall, G
Burgoyne, P
Symes, B
Hurn, S
Hansen, L/Proud, A

(Proud, A and Myers, D)

Mids:
Cross, D
Stevens, N
Jones, N
Dal Santo, N
Palmer, R
Masten, C

(Coughlan, M and Brad Ebert)

Rucks:
Cox, D
Simmonds, T

(Kruezer, M and Meesen, J)

Forwards:
Giansiracusa, D
Pavlich, M
Riewoldt, N
Brown, J
Deledio, B
Rioli, C
Tippett, K

(Henderson, L and Kennedy, J)

Pleased With:
Giansiracusa (thanx to those who made me stick with him)
Rioli (could be a stayer)
Palmer (freo best and fairest this year!)
Cox (obviously)
Simmonds (looking good!)

Disappointing:
Burgoyne
DAL SANTO!!! ---> 67.5 average in two winning games!

i like to use two trades in this round before price change.
options.....

1. Kennedy (out) Hill (in) 128,000 left over
2. Dal Santo (out) Ablett or Hodge or Priddis or Goodwin.

selecting goodwin means almost a straight swap and will see me with 120000 still left over for a future trade (most likely to gilbee or wait even longer to see how goddard comes back). these two trades i have in mind may seem like a waste now but will definitely benefit me in the future (hill also set to rise massively)

i think dal santo is a LOT more suited to supercoach and his performances just arnt cutting it for (apart from cross) my star midfielder.

now that you've got Dal Santo, i reckon you should stick with him. if he plays 22 games and averages 80-85ppg - he can't be that bad.

but, if you like taking advantage of the prices, you could also look at Jason Porplyzia (midfielder classified as a forward) and Travis Tuck (only 138k, price could soar)

*also, i would favour Priddis ahead of Ablett, Goodwin, Hodge.
- Hodge attracts no.1 tagger
- Ablett attracts no.1 tagger
- Goodwin playing forward, misclassified as a mid.
- Priddis inside mid, doesn't get tagged.

ultimately what im trying do is take advantage of josh hill because im sure he has scored roughly 90odd in the first two games and his price is going to sore. downgrading keneddy to hill for roughly 80K i see as an upgrade for sure. not keen on keeping dal santo and priddis is a 22game player i know will very rarely let me down

ive had a change of heart.

dal santo - out
marc murphy - IN

i make 36700 on the trade and murphy set to rise in price with dal santo falling will make it even sweeter.

then Kennedy - out
hill - IN

im struggling in my forward line for that cheap player who scores rather well. hill will provide me that and and extra 80K

so for this week i make over 100K on trades already to go with my 40K leftover and an overall better structured team.

ok last week saw me get my season high score of 1919. i guess that is OK after just 3 rounds. but now is when the leagues start....

im looking at just the one trade this week, and it must be HURN - OUT. hes not what i thort he'd be this year with west coast still playing him off a half back flank.

i have a massive amount of money left in my salary cap (160K+) so i can basically afford anybody from heath shaw downwards.

so obviously heath shaw would be the obvioujs choice but i'd like to hear peoples opinions on the likes of GILBEE, WATERS, GODDARD(?), BOCK, KENNELLY, ROUGHEAD. obviously theres some decent players i can upgrade to but would like to know if you guys think bock, kennelly, or roughead will score 90+ average.

i had a decent week scoring 1972. ranking 5827 overall which is a big improvement from my poor first couple of weeks.

the only player im starting to have my doubts over is nathan jones of melbourne. i will stick with him for another couple of weeks but he's not cutting it at the moment.
