Default PAFC's Dreamteam (Grays_Anatomy)

Thought i'd give my team a bit of analysis seeing as there's been a few weeks to follow my progress.

First impressions in Round 1 was that I ****ed my team up big time. I wasn't convinced with Dyson but decided to go with him anyway because of the support thrown around. McIntosh had a shocker and I payed alot to get him. Hall and Hawkins were dissapointing and Lucas did his knee. Add to that Armitage didn't play and I didn't set Morton as an emergency.

But I kept the faith and my team has improved every week thus far, scoring over 2000 in the last 2 weeks which has lifted me to 2125 in the overall rankings. There are still some concerns however, here is a rundown of my team.

Backs
C.Cornes - Top scoring back who has been worth the $ so far. Not confident to captain him though.

H.Shaw - Solid as a rock. Going nowhere

P.Burgoyne - Dissapointing. Doesn't work hard enough for his posessions so he goes missing when the game turns contested. Not going to trade out but will be one I need improvement from.

Guerra - Solid form with an absoloute blinder against Adelaide. Is the Hawks go to man and how high he scores is dependent on how the opposition coach rates him. Lock him in for the year, Eddie.

Bradshaw - Made me nervous for the first couple but has hit back strongly. Can go missing but never for the whole game. I'd expect an average of 70 from here on in.

Johncock - Solid if unspectacular form.

Symes - Always going to be a keeper. Finding his feet in a Crows guernsey finally
Emg
Scott.D.Thompson - Good in his debut but hasn't found his way back into the side. Hopefully he isn't the next Riggio

Hansen - Was selected once but withdrew. Worrying but I still think he'll get a game.
Centres
K.Cornes - Kaptain Kane has been played in a couple of interesting roles which have impacted his score. His spot at captain could become under threat.

Salopek - Great pickup. Hit the 100 mark this week and I suspect he'll continue to be consistent throughout the year.

Stevens - Good but everyone has him

Jones - Dissapointing as he seems to be getting tagged. I still have faith but he's the midfielder that's letting me down atm.

Morton - Has outscored Dyson which is a testament to his ability. Capable of big scores and I can't see him dropping below a 50. Hopefully he'll play all 22 games.

Dyson - Shocker first round but has improved. Tends to go missing for long periods of times in games and then pick up alot of stats in quick succession. Worried that he doesn't get enough marks. Possible trade in near future.
Emg
Bird - A tad inconsistent leaving me thinking I should have taken Palmer instead. I'd expect him to play the rest of the year though, so he could be the emergency that stays for a while.

Armitage - Dissapointing he hasn't cracked the side but I haven't lost faith. If he still hasn't played after Cotchin/Coughlin have played 2 games, I might be forced to trade early.
Rucks
D.Cox - No worries

McIntosh - Up and down form - got smashed by White last week which is dissapointing. Regretting not getting Simmonds but he'll stay regardless.
Emg
Meesen - Will get a game soon, no worries.

Hampson - Has been outclassed by Kruezer. Could be a worry.
Forwards
O'Keefe - Came in for Lucas and is the perfect dreamteamer. The most consistent player I have.

Porplyzia - Star. Battled through shoulder problems and is a keeper

Hall - Dissapointing after a decent start to the year.

Brown - Bit annoyed I didn't go for Pavlich/Riewoldt but he'll be kept and will bounce back.

Rioli - Almost outscored Brown. Goes missing at times but he always gets a decent score. The Alwyn Davey of 08.

Hawkins - I was a bit nervous about his ordanairy form when Geelong looked unstoppable but has proven to be a good pick.

Tredrea - Lowest scoring forward but has looked good. Look forward to more improvement.

Emg
Stewart - Was dissapointed he was listed as a forward but has been good nonetheless. His debut was superb. Annoyed to hear he may be dropped this week as he has been one of the Port players willing to put his head over the ball.

Tippett - Will play 22 games.

My only worries at this point are Jones, Dyson, Armitage and my reserve backs. I have some tough games coming up in round 7-10 so I'll be using a couple of trades then but patience is the key word for my team this year.

This week i'll be getting Riewoldt for Hall which will leave me with 18 trades for the rest of the year.

McIntosh has been injured a bit lately dude, we don't have anybody anywhere near good enough to play if we rest him and Hale is a very lucky boy he's been brought back into the side this week (It's only cause we need another ruckman, form doesn't warrent it.) So yeh McIntosh has been spending a bit of time on the bench and i certainly wouldn't say he got smashed last week.... he got given votes in the coaches votes from footy classified. As he gets over his injury he'll start getting those big scores we know he is capable of.

Hansen was selected a couple weeks ago but got replaced by Brown beause of a heel injury. He is expected to play a few games in reserves now and if form warrents, will get selected.

Very suprised Thompson is not in the squad, especially considering Gibson is out. I would personally play Thompson a head of both Harding and Watt... but that's Laidley for you.

Good luck man, the team looks decent

well done for actually picking C.Morton
but no Palmer

i am looking to upgrade Dyson -> K.Cornes next week.
everyone is complaining about Jones, but i wouldn't write him off just yet.
surely the Car v Mel game has stats written all over it.

Had faith in Armitage over Palmer and it doesn't look that silly after his first game.
