Default Who is in your Dreamteam?

Will we see P.Bowden to J.Bowden rear its ugly head again this year or will there be some hidden youngsters out there that will go very cheaply, but by the end of the year be worth over $300,000? I hope that there will be at least a half a dozen in mine!

I wonder how many people will include Gibbs from Carlton?

Will there be any takers for Judd? Will we be able to afford to include him in our salary caps?

Who are your smokies?

Here ya go Tippaz. A thread just for you

Haven't looked yet, but Gibbs will be the new Murphy. Everyone will have him to start with a once his price increase flattens out after 6-10 weeks, most will trade him looking for the new rookie that comes onto the scene midseason with a bang.

Darcy could be a cheap pick-up after 2 years out. Is R Hadley back for the Lions, could be another cheapo.

Don't usually go for Judd, as whilst he is very good and 1st pick (maybe second behind J Brown) on any team, he is not the stat-rat that his price suggests. He has quality possessions, generally not quantity.

If N Lappin is fit he will be a walk up start in mine along with N Brown as well. Anyone without Gibbs in the team will have him after Round 1. Renouf from the Hawks will be a steal if either Taylor or Campbell get injured - there won't be too many rookie rucks getting a regular game this year. B Hudson and Ash Hansen look like good gets this year too.

As another year beckons towards us, the excitement of a brand new dreamteam arises.

I've actually been doing some pre-preseason analysis. Well, just reading up on all the footy articles in the paper, and trying to find out who might step up this year after an impressive preseason.
I'm currently going through every AFL list, and attempting to figure out the best 22 for each team. It's very difficult because there are so many new faces. We only know so much with these new kids. But i've gotten better each year, so i'll be posting some teams up shortly.
After i do that, i am going to highlight a few players from each team that i feel will be underpriced for the up & coming season. I will label these players as "hot prospects". A lot of them will be 1st year players at the all-important-min-wage level. But i will be looking at other players as well - such as the N.Lappin's & Darcy's who were injured last year - and also the Birchall's & M.Murphy's who are ready to take the next step - some of the players like D.Fletcher might be experiencing a new position this year which will certainly effect the stats - and some players like Ricciuto could be experiencing a categorisation shift going from a 'centre' to a 'forward' which would certainly make him more valuable. It will be very important to watch them closely in the NAB Cup (something i've failed to do in the past).
I will try to complete everything before the NAB Cup starts, so stay tuned folks.

Like last year, I will take Gibbs (Similar to Murphy) but I will keep him in my team probably the whole year because he is that good. An interesting one for me would be the Rookie ruckman in Stellar from Adelaide and to see if he gets a game or more because he can play FF. Theres a few obvious "must haves" like Bowden and Hodge etc, but I definitely won't be taking Rcciuto and Buckley who won't play much in the midfield.

The most interesting part is going to find blokes who are midfielders but get categorized somewhere else - find them and you've found the backbone of your team.

g'day brades.
there's talk of a switch to 2 playing rucks and 6 midfielders.
that'd be nice.
