Default 2008 AFL D.T - Final thoughts and comments

Well, it's been another great year of D.T - some good bargains, some previously good d.t stars down on form and a big mix of injuries made it as hard as ever.

I went in with a plan which was exactly the same as last seasons (where i also won). That was to pick my team and keep the trades to a minimum. Due to some woeful form from the likes of Nicoski, Hurn, N Jones etc i had to make some trades early and it sorta stuffed up my plan.

Anyway despite this i managed to get my team to peak around finals time and score around the 2100 mark each week. This led me to winning all three of my leagues

I'de like to thanks TF for making this possible, my parents and all my fans out there...

Top stuff Borak.

I can't keep myself from not trading, just get a very itchy trigger finger, and cannot hold myself back.

Yeh it's really hard.

Also depends what your plan is. I went in wanting to win my leagues as rankings doesn't really mean that much. By planning to peak in the latter few rounds and not caring about rankings it meant i had a better chance of winning.

Next year hopefully i'll finish top few hundred in the rankings AND win the league.

Well done Borak.
I also have trouble stopping myself from trading an seem to watse a lot of trades.

I've gone with different tactics over the past 2 years and ended up between 1,000-2,000 ranking.

I'll definitely be looking at the tactics that gave me a ranking around 100 in DT 3 years ago and top 20 finish in SC that year.

I thought I could come up with better tactics but the experimants didn't work unfortunately. and my strengths from 3 years ago bacame huge weaknesses for me.

Hopefully I can find a good mix that works for me next year. And hopefully I'm not tempted to waste trades early next year too!
