Barry Hall: average = 50.5, price = 356,600
Formula = (average - (Price / 3160) x 1000
= (50.5 - (356,600 / 3160) x 1000
= (50.5 - 112.84) x 1000
= -62.34 x 1000
= -62,340
Barry Hall will therefore lose $62,340 in value and will be $294,260 if his 3 game average matches his 2 game average.
If Barry Hall comes out and scores 150 this week his total rises to 251 giving him a 3 game average of 83.66.
= (83.66 - (356,600 / 3160) x 1000
= (83.66 - 112.84) x 1000
= -29.18 x 1000
= -29,180
So even with a massive 150 Hall will lose nearly 30K this week.
Dean Solomon: average = 57.5, price = 192,200
= (57.5 - (192,200 / 3160) x 1000
= (57.5 - 60.82) x 1000
= -3.32 x 1000
= -3320
If Dean Solomon scores his average of 57.5 pts again this week he will drop $3,320
Now lets say Solomon comes out and scores 100. His average jumps to 71.66
= (71.66 - (192,200 / 3160) x 1000
= (71.66 - 60.82) x 1000
= 10.84 x 1000
= 10,840
So if Solly scores 100 he raises $10,840 in price.
