Must confess I'm doing plenty reading around the net.
There is definitely one common thread coming thru! Many, many novices are consumed by the belief ... "midfield is where your Dream Team is won and lost." However, is this statement correct?

NO. Collingwood had top centres as did Geelong. Cats flogged Pies with more effective forwards & same to St Kilda. Some centres nullify each other. Good coaching sorts it out. Playing lower sides it is the centres who dominate. You need " backs " who play forward such as Goddard, Ryder, Broughton + Lake, etc who pile up the points & not stationed backs.like " Presti " who cuts up the opposition but does not score. Presti flogged Jonathon Brown & scored less than 40 pts. Running possession backs are the key to surplus pts
