IMHO it depends on three key factors

1/ Who the player is & 2/ How many trades I have left 3/ Who are my opponents in the rounds

However, in general terms I hate carrying a player for more than 3-4 weeks.

However, I will be interested in what other say!

yeh good call TF, i'm in agreeance. It really depends on the situation.

It depends what your strategy is as well. If you're going for over all ranks then your player missing needs to be covered by a decent scoring player on the bench. I wouldn't want a 400k+ player (who is going to be scoring over 100 points) getting injured and only having a rookie who isn't getting many points replacing him.

Just don't make a decision too hastily. So often ive heard of people getting burned because of incorrect pieces of news. I remember somebody trading Palmer last season because he was apparantly out for the season, he ended up playing the next week. You don't want that happening to you.

It depends on what stage of the season your at. If it's early on and your rookies are playing i'd probably give a star a reprieve if he were to return within 4 weeks. later in the season you wouldn't want him missing 2 weeks IMO.
