Default So what are we up against??

Good to see some friendly banter going on..so I'll continue and test the waters.

For the 12 current 'elite' members of the squad, you have set some pretty high standards...but give us a chance to properly see what we are up against. Anyone can talk the talk, but who has walked the walk.

Tippaz, you seem to have done a gruelling pre-season and appear to be the 'stats-man', but other than your initial 'first proper draft' I haven't seen anything. (And what is with Melb coming last?? You've got to be joking. North Melb, St Kilda, Carlton, Richmond are definately going to finish lower than Melb.)

Where did all you guys finish last year? Give us 'rookies' a precident, not just a set of instructions. Who should we aspire to be like? We are just mere pawns playing a game.

On a second note, stay away from Wells... Same sort of player as Headland. When the team is flying, they play well and get good stats. Fremantle are going to fly as high as Ben Cousins this season.

112 in DT
12 in SC

Won a weekly prize 2 years ago. Finished well but can't remember where exactly.

I finished last year 12th I believe if my memory is right. Rode to the Minior Grand Final and lost. The best advice I can give to new coaches is to enjoy youselves, it is a game and some people tend to take it too seriously.

Also pick out a balanced out team and if you believe certain players will do well for you then pick them, you are the coach and no one else.

I may not win DT, but I don't care because my focus on footy is more like a coach, rather than a stats person.

Well which coach do you best resemble. If Tippaz were a coach I would imagine him to be like Terry Wallace, and coach his side similar to how Richmond beat Adelaide last year.

I trust you like the long and direct play, keep it simple, with plenty of run through the midfield.

Yeah Connolly but better Actually I feel that I don't resemble many coaches except maybe Worsfold. I am great at analysing teams tactics and finding ways to beat it, I've just never done it at decent levels.

These 2 statements are very contradictory. I wouldn't describe Richmond's style of play in beating Adelaide last year as long and direct, keeping it simple and plenty of running through the midfield.

Read the conversation...Tippaz likes his stats, so I would imagine he would encourage that style of play if he were coach. I was talking to Brades about kick long and etc

Fair enough, Clocktower. I didn't realise you were talking specifically to Brades.
