Default Dreamteam Question - How Many Trades?

So I'm sitting 9th in my league with 14 trades left..

Is it best to hold off trading until about rnd 13 or 14, coming into the final few matches?

Or is it best to trade up and get an awesome team, making sure you don't lose, leaving only a few trades for injuries etc?

a good little guideline is to average 1 trade per round.
