Default Supercoach Salary Cap Strategy Money over after picking team

How many dollars should I look at having over after I pick my team to give me enough to pick a reasonable player in case of player going down for the season?

at least 150-200k I've got 390k and plan on throwing 100k or so at rookies that i have
think have reached their full potential or injured players. I'm sure it's better to keep a little
bit of money tucked away to fix mistakes later in the season.
Whats equally as is important is to pick the best rookies for your bench and starting 22 to help keep the team value rising.
If you are certain a few of your rookies will play close to 22 games and score well put
them in your side, the more rookies making you money the better as long as you can use
your trades right later in the season.

Strongly depends on your goals for the season ie a/ Winning you league or b/ Highest score possible.

A few important points not to forget this year compared to previous years are

1/ the extra 3 potential rookie cash cows you can have sitting on your bench compared to previous years.
2/ leagues are live from round 1
3/ the extra trades you have compared to previous years.

IMHO your starting line-up is more important than ever & I'm not sure you can afford or need the luxury of leaving xxxK in the bank to fix up a few "mistakes".

However, that does strongly depend on your goals ... I never normally worry about winning my league.

I've spent it all. If a good player breaks down then you sell him. Fill the midfield with quality & whack a couple of up & coming cheaps at both ends. Cheaps are Heppell, Darling, Swallow. Add Smith ( hawks) & Richardson ( nth)They will increase quickly in value. Have first year players as emergencies. Will explain at end of season after I've won.

I personally don't worry about how much I have left to be honest. I usually put a few rookies in the starting lineup and at least one of those ends up becoming a cash cow so I can upgrade him later in the year to a keeper.

Thanks for the info. I was starting to get worried as I only had $1500 left in DT & $800 left in SC.
