Default 2018 AFL Week 2 finals: Hawthorn vs Melbourne

Friday night 7.50pm at MCG
Ins: Duryea, Mirra, Schoenmakers.. Outs: Stratton, O'Meara (inj), Ceglar (omit)
Dees: No Changes
Huge out for Hawks with O'Meara gone. Hawks badly mauled by Tigger need to regroup. Dees played with Cats & are a neat unit.. Never thought I'd see Vandenberg at full forward but it's finals time & anything goes.. Hawks could be favourites by I like Melbourne just for consistency. Gawn always a factor & kids are keen as mustard. Picking Dees to upset Hawthorn bunch.. Could be a blow out.. Hope so..

Hawthorn 10..11..71 lost to Melbourne 16..8..104 (90152)
Dees took about 10 minutes to take control and scores were level at 1/4 time. Mitchell crunched by Jetta saw him off & return but was never the same. Poor disposal by Hawks in 2nd qtr where they kicked 6 behinds to Dees 3 goals was nullified by some Dees poor disposal. Third qtr Dees opened up & led by 32 at last change.. Hawks decided to have a go and closed in but Gunston's shot missed & Dees then ran away..
Some weird umpirihng decisions kept the crowd awake.
Mitchell, Gunston, McEvoy, Shiels.
Harmes (blanketed Mitchell), Tom Mcdonald, Viney, Gawn, Petracca, Hibberd.
Hawks finished & need a gun fwd. Dees off to Optus Stadium & are a chance.
