Ask any bombers fan if Polo is any good, and they will remember dreamtime at the G last year, when polo, in his first game, dominated, to give us a win (one point, i think) and he won the B.O.G medal. He also showed a lot this season before having to have surgery on his shoulder.

Put Simmonds into this side, the 3rd best ruckman in the league when fit, and we have a very good midfield coming along.

Add Johnson, who isnt an inside mid, but doesnt mind goin in, Deledio...need i say more about him- pick one, NAB rising star, Grand Final sprint winner etc etc etc..., Tambling, who, despite critisicm from OUTSIDE THE CLUB, is coming along nicely, and should be hitting his straps pretty soon.
Polo isn't very good, i'm sure Essendon fans would agree with me. Mark McGough won an Anzac Day medal, alot of good that did him.

Simmonds has been overtaken by H-Mac, Lade and Cox is of course still better. All these three players best is better than what Simmonds' best was and I can't see him getting back to even that.

Deledio had to be moved forward because lets face it, is not progressing as well as Richmond had hoped. And Tambling? Do you actually watch Richmond games or close your eyes, only opening them when Tambling does his usual 1 good quarter per season? The guy has some of the worst footy smarts i've ever seen and is still a twig. I don't think he has been injured alot so lets face it, he'll probably never bulk up that much.

No, hes been tagged from before the mid season break...
And, for example, if Foley, Coughlan and Deldio are in the midfield, then we would be favourites to win the clearence, because teams cant tag everyone...

plus, Cotchin or Morton in two or three yrs time, etc...

Weve already had this discussion over MSN...Simmonds is a very good ruckman, IMO, in the top 3 in the league, and, i reckon ive watched Richmond games closer than you have, in relation to Tambling, and, like most tigers fans, is very happy with his progress. 17 goals and 272 disposals is more than "one good quarter".

And, Deledio was moved forward, after breaking his hand, because of just that...he broke his hand. When James Hird smashed his face against Peverills knee, im sure he didnt go straight back into the midfield...and im sure even you, PAFC, the most pessimistic person about other teams chances, would admit James Hird progressed even better than expected.

Plus, since returning, Deledio had some B.O.G performances, and had bags of four goals and five goals...a fair return for a small forward.

Have a look at Lades performance in the granny, and say that again...he shoudlve smashed both Ottens and King, but couldnt beat either...
And next year hell be 32 next year...so will be winding down...

He kicked 4 in a quarter against West Coast, if you take that out then its 13 goals from 19 games. And yes, 272 disposals is not much. That equates to an average of 13.6 disposals, with his season high being 20. If you classify him as a midfielder, he's not getting enough of the ball. If you classify him as a goalsneak, he does not score enough.

Have a look at his performance in the prelim or in the qualifying final.
