So you didn't watch the game?

Perhaps we can get back on the topic and you can show me what game Tambling was in Richmond's best players. With a season high 20 disposals, surely there must be some.

PAFC, Port are only a marginally better side than Richmond. The competition is just so even these days. Admittedly, I'm a Tiger. But I never look at our players through rose-coloured glasses.

Cormick & Back Flank, we'll just have to bite our tongues and accept the fact that oppostion supporters have zero respect for our players. This will change sooner rather than later, I think.

McGuane & Thursfield - rubbing my hands together at the prospect of 2 x 200 plus gamers here. Yep....McGuane can't kick, but the boy moves and reads the play as well as Gaspar did and he was 2 x All-Australian. As for Thursfield, returned from injury shrouded in doubt. Where are the doubters now? That boy can move and plays as tight as a glove. Opposition forwards are going to hate this bloke!

Coughlan & Simmonds - Stuff the draft picks! These 2 will be our best recruits for 08. The Tiger army is not so delusional as to under-rate the crucial role these boys play. Imagine lads.......Simmonds bustling hard in the ruck, holding his own as he always does.....giving Coughlan & Foley the best chance to fire, all of a sudden Tuck looks 10 x better and starts receiving the accolades he deserves for all his hard-ball gets. Opposition don't know who to tag. In the meantime they've totally forgotten about Deledio and the enormous work-ethic that will eventually take him to the elite level. He and Tambling roam free of any tags and thrive as 2nd tier midfielders. Hey PAFC, you don't become Flea Weightman overnight! Tambling had his best year this year and body-wise isn't getting brushed aside so easily. He may never dominate the midfield, but he belongs at this level. For the first time I think he believes. Stand-by for more improvement.
As for Polo, I love the tough nut in this boy. He tackles like a man possessed and will start to impress big time when he shrugs off the shoulder issues. A fit Polo adds depth to Richmond's midfield.

Whoa! Talk about off on a tangent. Anyway....McMahon will serve us well alongside Raines & Newman. Richmond's recruiting of late has been top-notch. The Lounder deal was years ago.

No you're right. Richmond are very close to Port. That's why Port won 14 more games than the Tigers, including a 40 point win over the Tigers. Plus we actually were rubbish that day if you watched the game.

More improvement from Tambling? No really, you don't watch him play do you? Well perhaps actually seeing he averaged around 2 more disposals this year than in 2006. Averaging 13.6 disposals for a third year midfielder is normal right?

I dunno what you're smoking mate. Richmond won 3 games last year. But yes, a 30 year old ruckman coming off an injury riddled year and a middle aged player with chronic knee problems will sure get you those extra 9 wins you need to get into the top 8. Oh and I forgot about Tamblings 2 more disposals on average next year, bound to get Richmond finals action.

Right...so an 119 point loss is about right for the second best team in the comp?
The last time we played Geelong, we lost by 70...

And, if you use your mentalitiy on the Port list, Tredrea will never get another goal for gods sake- an old forward coming off a serious knee injury- best of both worlds- age and injury.

And players tend to improve until theyre about 25 or 26...tamblings, what- 21?

You are the most pessimistic bloke goin around- is the world gonna end soon?...one day it will come back to bite you when Lade and Cornes (Simmonds and Coughlan) are taken from your team and you finish lower than expected- youll whinge injuries gottya, but no one will have sympathy.

Tambling averaged 13 disposals in his 3rd year, while the "recruit of the year" Rodan, in his 6th year, averaged only 3 more disposals. If Tambling continues to improve at a rate of 2 disposals per year, thn by his 6th year, he would be averageing 19 posessions- yes, three more than Rodan. But, the people who actually see what Tambling does, rather than what he doesnt do- the optimistic people in the world- realise he'll improve by more than 2 posessions per year from now until his 6th year, and will be a very good player for the RFC.
