Default Brad Miller AFL Trade Rumours

Swans coach Paul Roos acknowledged interest in the 24-year-old who is out of contract with the Demons.

"We've had preliminary discussions with Melbourne and it'll probably start to heat up a bit now," Roos said.

Miller has played with success at both centre half-forward and centre half-back, but Roos said he was looking at Miller as another tall-forward option.

Melbourne list manager Craig Cameron said he was aware of Sydney's interest, but declared Miller a required player.

"We've offered him a two-year contract and we're waiting for a reply," Cameron said. "We really rate him as a person with great leadership qualities and we want him to stay."

Miller has played 31 senior games out of a possible 46 for the Demons over the past two years. The Swans have yet to make an offer to Melbourne in exchange for Miller.

What is wrong with him?.He is only 24 and has talent, maybe Sydney can get the best out of him.It worked for RODAN and Port.

Rodan wasnt traded for, he was taken in the draft.
And, even Rodan has more talent than Miller.
Id prefer to save the draft pick they give up for him rather than have him for 2 yrs before being de listed.
PAFC summed it up: Millers rubbish

i would aim to trade Brad Miller, but i doubt they'd get much for him.

and Melbourne would be stupid to delist him.
perhaps the Demons have no choice but to keep him.
he really needed to stand up at CHF this year (and he didn't).

IMHO .... Miller has been misused in the last few years. I think he plays his best "team" football in our back-line. I would much prefer to offer him a contract and keep him.

Rodan has only showed his so called talent this year and did jack sh+t at Richmond ,thats why he went to the draft ,they could not trade him because no one would do a deal for him.Like i said and TF agrees he should be good enough for another club who will use him the right way,he should improve IMO.

IMO Miller was played out of position - he could be a great CHB
As much as I liked Neil Daniher as a coach I think he stuffed around with Miller too much from forward to back. He has always shown glimpses of what he can do from up forward in marking and running but he is much more suited to the CHB position to back up Carroll, Rivers, Wheelan, Fergusson and Bell.

If we can't trade him, keep him and play him the back line.

Rubbish. He is no backman. Doesn't have the work ethic nor the strength, look what Jonno Brown did to him.
