Default Damon White AFL Trade Rumours

PORT Adelaide key forward Damon White is Western Bulldogs' new target in the AFL trade period, which starts on Monday.

Power last night declared the Bulldogs would have to make a significant offer before 24-year-old White is released from his contract, which extends to next season.

But Power football operations manager Peter Rohde said the Bulldogs had made no attractive offer for White.

"We've made it clear we want Damon at Port Adelaide next year. If we get the right offer, we'll consider it. But so far nothing that can be regarded as the right offer has come to the table," Rohde said.

With Tredrea on the way out Port unfortunately are forced to keep White.
They could (and prolly should) send Chad back to CHF to straighten them up, this would ease the reliance on keeping White.
Willits has not come on as expected, if they can get him up and running then they potentially could move White on.
Westhoff is due for the 2nd year blues, something they might want to keep in mind before cutting their tall forward options in half.

If they do look at a deal, they should be looking at either a ready made 22 year old CHF, but no way you get that for White, and it also isnt something the doggies really have, hence why they want White. The other option is to chase an in and under midfielder to feed the likes of Shaun, Danyle and Peter, but once again, there is no way you are getting someone like a Cooney for White, especially when the doggies will be looking to the future and West and Eagleton cant stick around for ever.

I think we should take a 2nd-3rd round pick and use that to take a mature aged SANFL/VFL player.

Im a Port Fan. Ivan Maric of the crows for Damon white sounds good. and by the sounds of it bulldogs want him so WHite and a 4th round draft pick for jordan mcmahon also sounds good

port should keep white..at the start of the year he was doing very well...if they give him away..and tredrea on the outer..port foward line doesnt look good in terms of tall targets.
