Default Kepler Bradley 2007 AFL Essendon Trade Rumours

Essendon utility Kepler Bradley, 21, has what looks to be a prohibitive first-round price attached to his future, with Essendon, who drafted him three years ago with pick six, maintaining that nothing less than a late first-round selection will enable him to move.

For a bloke that cant get a game in your side that sounds like a mighty high price.

Typical bombers trying to oversell players and in the end they get stuck with them. No one is going to pay more than a 2nd rounder for him. The Bombers realise how short the draft is compared to last year.

I wrecken a club might give Essendon an early 2nd round pick for him.
Considering he was a Larke Medal winner and he had a pretty good 1st year, I think other teams will have a good look at him. (remembering taller players take longer to develop) He also won Bendigo Bombers' Best & Fairest.

i would accept anything between pick 20-29 for him.

we drafted him as a ruckman. that's where he played all his junior footy - ruck.
at 194cm he's too small for a ruckman. we've tried to turn him into a defender and it hasn't worked thus far.
he really needed to cement a spot a CHB this year (and he didn't).
we were forced to play Ryder (a known ruck prospect) in that position instead.
Bradley has the right height and athleticism to play key-defence, but his kicking skills let him down. he was unfairly criticised for his Anzac Day performance. he was poorly managed that day, and his team-mates let him down (DAMIEN PEVERILL, *cough *cough). it was silly to leave him in the reserves like that for the rest of the year.
it's a good idea to bring his name to the trade table, but i think he'll stay a Bomber. i would like to persist with him for 1 more year.

ummm....Freo have shown interest, and they hold pick 24.
If we don't get a pick under 30 for Bradley, I personally wouldn't do a deal.

I would like to give him more time. But the Kangaroos seem mighty keen to get him. I would take a first round pick only though. He still has too much potential.

He was used up forward for Bendigo under Knights this year and won the best and fairest.
I think Sheeds tried to turn him into the key defender that we need so desperstely but he wasn't really suited to it. I think the best spot for him is in the middle or up forward. He's taken a while to develop but that's not unusual for tall players and he's shown quite a lot of potential IMO.

I wouldn't trade him unless we got a great deal for him. Very happy to keep him if no-one comes up with something suitable

Its a shame you could not get any draft picks or good players in return. Its a waste.
