Thats true happened with Stevens and Carlton.

However if a player states quite clearly he doesn't want to play for you then places a price on his head 200-300 thousand overvalue and will only sign a one year deal do you risk takeing him knowing he can easily shaft you at the end of the season and put you right back down the bottom where you came from?

In the Age today, it said he was more than likely not to sign with brissy.
They supposedly offered $80,000 for three years, one more year than their previous offer.

But apparently Brennan wanted more money, and so wont sign.

And Brennan is a potential matchwinner, so, you would think, would be offered a bit more than that.

Maybe its a typo! Maybe they offered $800,000 over three years. I would be insulted by $80,000 over three, or per year. I would walk too.
