Shaw, the son of former Magpies captain Ray Shaw and brother of defender Heath, became entangled in the Cameron Wood deal. The Lions at first wanted Ryan Lonie and pick 14, but when Lonie declined to move and the Lions asked for Shaw.

thats a suprise i dont think rhyce shaw has been that bad at collingwood hes played some good games thought they would have had some1 other than him 2 trade. some big names are comming out this trade week.

Glad we kept Shawy. Suprised though that none of, Shaw, Holland, Lonie, Richards, Egan or Bryan were traded. I guess now that we have our own VFL side we can afford to hold onto these blokes which im certainly not complaining about.
