Default Farren Ray - 2008 AFL Trade Gossip

Sounds like Farren Ray will be looking for a new home in 2009.

GOAT LOVER is on a distinguished road
Default We'll have him at Tigerland

We'll give up 2 cheer squad members and an old length of rope that they use to hold the banner up on game day.

Jake King for Farren Ray?

I don't think so. At least Kingy hunts the ball.

We will keep him by the length of the Flemington straight thank you very much.

I would swap Jarrod Oakley-Nicholls or Danny Meyer for Farren Ray, however.

Default back home

Farren wants to go home doesnt he?
He is a Perth boy, well Mandurah boy to be exact, Fremantle or West coast are his preferred options.

I could possibly see a 3 way with Dogs, Tigers and Eagles that would see this happen
Eagles - Ray & Tigers Second Pick
Tigers - Seaby and Dogs 3rd pick
Dogs - eagles 2nd and tigers 3rd pick

Ok .... Interesting try. If I was at the

A/ Dogs ... Do it without a moments hesitation.
B/ Eagles ... Seaby for Tigers second round fine. However, not sure I want Farrren Ray on my list especially if I have to go backwards in the 2nd round to do it. ie pick 20 -> pick 26
C/ Tigers ... Essentially I'm giving up my second round pick & going backwards in the 3rd round. There is a new regime down at Tigerland ... so you never know!

I dont agree with it, but i can just see that happening. Tigers are usually the big **** ups of trade week. Id much rather seaby for round 2 straight swap, but eagles are said to not be interested in that. They re-guard him as a vital player second to dean cox.

Maybe eagles should take tigers 2nd round draft pick or do a deal with melbourne for there pick 19!Seaby is a very capable ruckmen and a strong grab!He just needs oppurtunity and will do very well at a club.Still young at 24.
