Default Brad Green AFL Trade Rumours

According to Greg Denham from the Australian

MELBOURNE'S out-of-contract utility Brad Green is considering heading to another club, with the bottom-of-the-ladder Demons likely to be told as early as today that he wants to be traded.

After nine years and 186 games, Green, 27, is believed to be unhappy with a number of aspects at Melbourne, which has offered him a new three-year. His manager Michael Quinlan yesterday said: "Nothing's changed from last week. We're still considering our position. It will be a case of Brad either recommitting or going elsewhere."

What is he worth?

Well see big boy!!!

Personally I don't mind if he stays or goes ... I'm 51/49. We are in superb shape with 3 live picks in the top 20 in one of the best drafts ever ... such bad luck finishing last in such a top draft year. If we do nothing this week its fine by me.

Default optimism

I see some irony here, with Optimism being the pesemist and the Dees supporter seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
I dont think Lance Franklin could turn the dee's around. 3 of the best picks won't save the dees for along long time. They have no forward line, no defence and an ordinary midfield. They have been down the bottom for the past 3 years and three years ago they didnt have a bad list. Now i'd say its terrible.

Keep the youth, maybe tank (not purposely ofcourse) another season get more picks, then in about 3-5 years you might have something, Davey, Wonnameri, the 3 saviours of the club from this years draft.

but keeping the youth is going to be hard in that period with the gold coast and west sydney teams raping the draft system and offering great deals to out of contract players with their enhanced salary cap.

In 2 of the last three years we have finished in front of the Tigers.

Keeping them might be hard. However, I much prefer trying to keep them than trying to get them.

Good team to model off, hope it works out, I feel sorry for the dees at the moment with all the troubles they are having. I think 14 other clubs will be copying this as well though

I know nothing of bailey, except he has the biggest challenge ahead of him, i wish him the best of luck. Wow you guys are following the Hawks aren't you. Un-tried coach to go in. Could we see him raising the cup in 2012

Yeah good call, your a true supporter of the game. Heart on sleeve. I felt sick when the tigers lost the game to the saints a few years back in an attempt to get last place despite the fact that carlton were never going to beat the dees and claim priority.
