Default Tigers Up For Trades

According to realfooty.com.au

Richmond has placed Kayne Pettifer, Dean Polo, Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls and Danny Meyer on the trade table.

Kayne Pettifer - Dont like this he is one of my fav players, had one bad year and the knee injury. His last 2 or 3 years have been more than consistant. I think the Joel Bowden treatment has worked on him and he will bounce back from it. I dont see the tigers getting much for him either with the knee injury. Hope he either stays or gets a gig at a good club

Dean Polo - Already been addressed

Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls - addressed in the Polo thread, but this guy just seems slow and out of his depth. I beleive he is a Perth boy? Could sweeten the Seaby Deal.

Danny Meyer - Another dud pick from the tigers. Showed a little promise a few years ago but can't break into the main team. Thats a big problem when the main team has been one of the worst in the comp the past few years

he's not slow, he was quicker over 100m than delidio when he was was 1st drafted. he was very skinny and lightweight, he's taken a while to build up an afl frame. dunno if he's still quicker than delidio because of his extra bulk but i reckon if he gets traded and another club can get him cheaply, say a 3rd round pick, tigers fans could be cursing for years to come

Default agree

I agree with your sarcasm TF
Pettifer was the only one worth something, but with a bad season and knee injury i can see him being used only as an extra player in a deal or for a 3rd round pick.

The rest are all underachievers. Polo had a great start but hasnt been able to stay in the team.

Read what i wrote about them i didnt say they are the biggest trades of trade week. Anything but that, I think richmond is doing the right thing, could get an extra pick or help seal a deal with a player who will more than likely get de-listed if they dont get traded

Ok ... The strategical side of me is now thinking Richmond put these names on the table pretty well knowing there would be little "real" interest in these blokes. Of course if anybody was silly enough to bite they would have listened.

I get the feeling this could be the old "kick in the bum" tactic.

Saying that however, does not rule out that chance that at least 1 gets delisted.
