Since there is no discussion allowed in the voting thread I started this one if anyone wants to talk about the votes.

Great_source. Why did you give my backs 2/5? They're not that bad are they? What's wrong with them?

I gave you a 2 because I believe Merret isn't all that good, and McGuire is injury prone..Gilbert & Richards I don't rate at all, Gibson is OK and Heath Shaw is played most of the time as a loose man......I probably gave that score a little to harshly, I'll give you a 3 then.....

Nah, It's alright. I'm not trying to have a go at you or anything. I was just wondering why you put it that low as I thought it was pretty good. I suppose it's all a matter of how you rate each player and some people see players that I think are alright as bad players and vice versa.

No one is voting honestly anyway if they give my team (average age of like 21) anything less than a 5 for youth. Simple as that. Once again the cheats are out to play.

Guys dont want my points changed just wondering why im scoring 2/5 with backs. I would say my Carroll isnt the greatest FB but can keep any FF honest. Fletcher had been one of the best Backmen of the last decade and provides excellent rebound from defence. Goldsack and Jake King are in my opinion the two best young defenders around. Jess Sinclair and Shaun Burgoyne provide so much, run, carry and precision passing out of the backline.

Voting been pretty fair on the whole for the Dogs (there's always going to be minor discrepancies) and like C4F I don't want it changed, but I was surprised I got a couple of 2/5s for youth.

I'm not sure if you were defining youth based on this years draft picks (if you were then it's probably fair) or looking at players drafted in the past 3-4 years, but I've got arguably the best young KPP back talent in Chaplin, Everitt and Williams, excellent young midfield/small utility talent in Cooney, Higgins, Griffen, Thomson, S.Selwood and M.Morton, as well as the best young developing ruckman in Leuenberger. Young KPP forward talent is a weakness with only Notte, Skipper and possibly Hooker on the current list, but that's the only weakness in an otherwise flawless youth department.

Also people who haven't should put up emergencies and/or squad members pushing for best 22 and 2007 draft picks, so we can have a better judge of youth and depth.

Everyone has their own criteria really, I wasn't strict on setting any. Some people might give votes for youth if the younger players are in key positions and not on the bench and some might simply look at the average age. As long as you're consistent with it, there will be no problems.
