Default How many GF appearances have the Saints been in?

Since their induction to the league in 1872.

Note - Saints fans, try not to answer, haha.

Extra cookie if you can name who each Grand Final was played against (and what year)

Without looking it up, I will say 3.

Did they lose to the Hawks in the 60's?

Wrong, but close!

They lost to the Hawks in the 70's, not 60's

You bastard, haha. Nah, it was a tough one. God I wish we had won those Grand Finals, we'd at least have a couple of silverware in the cabinet

Okay, sticking with the Saints.

Which coach for St Kilda has a 0% win ratio and what year/years did he coach and for how many games?

Wow, that's a bloody tough one. I'll go with the smartass answer and say none, haha.

If I had to choose...heck, I'd probably go with a captain/coach during the early 1900's...no idea who though. Dave McNamara?

A bit tough I suppose, but I found that looking for the answer to your question.

Quote:
William 'Bill' Patterson (born 15 September 1888) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Patterson made 11 appearances for St Kilda, with the only win coming against University. He reappeared in the 1938 VFL season when he took over from Ansell Clarke as coach of St Kilda for a game against North Melbourne at Arden Street. St Kilda lost 12.11 (83) to 7.15 (57).

Going by that, it says the Sainters won, haha. But I never would of guessed that...excellent trivia question. I knew it was going to be early 1900's (or anything before the 1950's)...I know our history from 1960 onwards.
