Default 1st Finals Round Betting

Hey guys,

I have just found this forum, ive been looking all year for something to talk about multi bets.

Bad luck last week with collingwood losing, i tipped freo but couldnt put my money where my mouth was.

Ive got an early 4 leg multi bet for the 1st week of the finals

Leg 1: Hawthorn to Win ($1.28). Tough game but think they have a bit to much class for WB. It will be close so tri bets and lines are kinda risky. Could consider Hodge/Mitchell top Possesions with boyd prob to run with mitchell so hodge could be an option, or even lewis who has got plenty of it lately. Franklin most goals is a definate aswell

Leg 2: Adelaide to Win ($1.60) Odds are great for a team that does well in finals. At home against a team on the back foot with alot of troubles happening at the club. I would stick with that, or even either team under 15.5 as i think this will be a low scoring game

Leg 3: Sydney ($1.68) only cause they are at home, based on norths form last weekend, i dont really know if they are the real deal this year. Sydney are another team who loves finals. Most disposals i would look at rawlings or harvey or kirk, those 3 will be fighting for this. any of those could potentially get it and they would pay very well ($5 or so). Expect barry hall to snag a big one.

Leg 4: Do i have to say anything. Geelong 15.5+ or 39.5+, pick it depending on how safe u wanna bet. i would go the second one as they will be stamping their authority in 1st final to get a week off. expect ablett and bartel to shine, these 2 will fight over most disposals. Steve Johnson will kick another bag as he is a massive finals player.

I will be doing 2 multis this week
(Odds are aprox as not up on TAB site as yet)

Multi 1
Hodge most disp ($5)
Adelaide ($1.60)
Sydney ($1.68)
Geelong 39.5+ ($1.50)

$50 @ $20.16 to win $1008

Multi 2
Franklin most goals ($2)
Either team under 15.5 ($3)
Rawlings most disp ($7)
Geelong 15.5+ ($1.30)

$20 @ $54.60 to win $1092

Any others got some tips please post

Cheers

What do you think?

The saints? Are you crazy... they dont stand a chance against Geelong, especially considering Geelong are a proven finals team and well saints past finals form has been nothing more than ordinary

Well yes, I am crazy, but the saints can win.

Saints are on a roll. They flogged the best team in the comp, so why can't they knock over the cats?

I don't care what you say, the Geelong Advertiser is a mighty fine publication for Geelong supporters and bandwagoners alike

The following are pure gold:
Zero Punctuation, Family Guy, Mighty Boosh, Black Books, RATM, QOTSA, Buckethead, Werder Bremen and the Cats

Saints really have no hope against geelong, i would like to see them win but i doubt that they have any chance.

Collingwood could be an option too, they are a good finals team and have shown this in the past. but im not sure. it depends on the delivery to cloke and how well the midfield plays. Either team under 15.5???

anybody ever put in other sports in the multis? i put always chuck in some soccer (epl, a-league, scottish, german) also F1, V8's, Moto GP. also tennis and nrl when on.

i seem to go for bigger winnings and spend little ($5). They dont come off very often but when they do (winning $2k off a $5 multi) is very satisfying.

What are other peoples strategy?

Geelong/Bartel premiers and brownlow double???

I throw in a game of Union when the Wobblies play. They're usually a good outside bet too.
Rugby league as well.
You have got to have a roughy to make it pay.

They beat the Hawks very easily. That's a flogging in my books.
