Yeah it was an interesting game ... so after 3 rounds we are still showing a profit of $614.96 in the bank.

Its your drive this week ... you pick the teams ... let me know over the next few days what you like.

Okay, but let me warn you, I am looking at the Hawks/Dees game, and I don't think the Hawks will get much of a start.

Will see Wednesday arvo when the pick your own line comes through.

No problems ... I have no problems you backing in "Hawks/Dees game".

Personally I dont normally back in games your team plays in because you can have a tendency to over evaluate your own team for emotive reasons. Its why I like backing against Richmond, Collingwood & Essendon etc because I think they have a large emotional fan base who punt from the "heart & not the head" ... sometimes you get some nice overs!

Good idea lets wait to Wednesday till we see those live lines.

I would have never considered that. It makes good sense though.

Let me say this as well ... In the past the teams I've made the most money on are the "emotional" underdogs. Now I must stress underdog in emotions and not necessarily on price ... massive difference.

IMHO because AFL football is a fairly small market in comparison to other sports ie Soccer & NFL football you have a much larger emotional, many times media driven element in % terms with much less of a "professional over analysed element".

Lets face it, in small markets the prices quoted are much more likely to be effected by emotions. Almost a bit like footy tips ... many people pick "their" team.

However, much, much more important is when you have close to 50/50 battles taking the "emotional underdog" can be very, very profitable.
