Default Too many late team changes

Its getting hard to know who is in the team until it's too late to bet. Last few weeks has been exessive as is this week. Trainers cant change jockeys like this. Key players who suddenly drop out can often upset the result.

From a betting point of view I agree, it's a killer.
Something needs to be done!!!

From a football only perspective I don't have a problem with it.
The AFL don't help themselves by making teams name their line-ups before the last training session.

Pods dropped out Friday night leaving Cats one tall short as they brought in Stringer.
Zaharakis was injured at training ( could be out 6 weeks ) yet only announced 6.50pm Saturday. Was probably the difference.

round 14 2012 late dropouts were: Harbrow Gold Coast, Chapman Geelong, Thompson Nth Melb, Surjan Port Ade & Jamar, Jones Melbourne.
Luckily Chapman was announced friday night and didnt affect the result but Jamar & Jones hurt me with Melbourne. It STINKS

Notice today ( 3rd Aug 2012 ) that Herald Sun have page 86 on this. Has been 105 late changes this year @ average of 5.83 per week. Clubs want to increase the squad to 25 players. Will make it hard to bet on multis if say Franklin & Mitchell were named & then dropped out and Pendlebury & Beams were rested in a match. Sheeds would have a picnic.

Ross Lyon must be the luckiest coach in the AFL. Fancy your second string ruckman breaking down 10 minutes before the game only to have your number one ruck available at very short notice. Good one Ross.
I must be the unluckiest with Franklin as Captain in Supercoach & he pulls out 90 minutes before the match. Bugger Buddy next week you are out.
