Thats a tad harsh. Even though the NAB Cup hasn't been a great formguide thanks to Carlton and Geelong lately surely we have shown some ability and basically on the backs of kids.

after the first 2 rounds of NAB Cup,

i have upgraded my expectations (from 16th) to 13th-14th with 7-9 wins. we will start the season strongly hovering around 7th-10th. then, our young players will hit the wall midseason and slump towards the bottom4. i don't want to get too carried away with NAB Cup form. the new style of play is very exciting, i have to admit. we'll be a good TelstraDome team.

Mcveigh is absolutly gay, lloyd is the worst captain going round in the 2008 season, got dropped this week and needs to be shot.

Hey russ, ya 2 easy to stir up mate, hees playin ya.

As for essendon there future is a bit bleak, they will probably tank and cheat. Since they were the kings of it before, they just paid off more people than Carlton thats why they didnt get caught?

I will be surprised if essendon make the eight before 2015. They really have no quality coming through, and there older guys are injury prone!

Any way, Stevens Judd Walker Kreuzer Gibbs Murphy and whoever else wasnt bad compensation!

Go Blues! Souljah boy tellem.

The fact that, in 2007, the Bombers beat 2006's Top 4 clubs made me think they'd be on their way up the ladder this year, not down. Four of last year's top 5 came from outside 2006's Top 8, so I thought that Bombers had a good chance of being like that in 2008.
Devastatingly, the quite-serious injuries to McVeigh, Lucas (and now Davey, Jetta, Fletcher, and Peverill) have really harmed their chances of avoiding the bottom 4. Their display on Anzac Day was probably the most disappointing thing. Must-win game against the Power this week at Telstra Dome, but I can't see it happening sadly.
Good luck to them though, they play good footy when they're on song.

Every team has injury woes though. Thats no excuse.

Look at carlton we managed to win 2 games with Houlihan out!
