List manager, Adrian Dodoro, predicts the upcoming trade period will be one of the more active ones in years when he appears on the Finals Show this week with former Premiership star Paul Barnard.

“It’s starting to hot up and clubs are starting to talk,” Dodoro said.
“There are seven to eight ruckman who will get picked up in the national draft this year I think - it is a very good tall draft but there isn’t as much depth in midfielders as there has been in previous years.

“Our thoughts at the moment are simply to do our homework and we have the trade period and draft camp coming up and then we have a month to analyze the information. Pick 5 is a terrific pick and it depends on what the clubs do in front of us on what sort of player we will take.

I think there is a big hint in that article, and I'm almost 95% sure we'll go with a midfielder with our first pick. Either Ziebell or Hartlett you would think.

With the addition of Prismall we may well opt for a tall with pick 5 I however am hoping for Hartlett in the first round with a solid tall selected with 23 considering we've got an abundance of talls recently with Ryder, Gumby, Daniher, Pears, Bellchambers and others on the list.
