Well now I'm 100% convinced that "tanking" is a major problem in AFL football with this appointment at this stage in the season.

Why now! He has not won 1 game .... or was that the plan all along.

Why would you appoint someone who is tanking? Thats ridiculous because if he is meant to lose then he is not actually proving he can coach other than pulling off the stars and saying "you're finished, lets lose". Ratten has impressed and has never looked like tanking in the box. When something goes wrong late in the game he's angry and desperately wants Carlton to win.

And the Oscar goes to....

Brett Ratten for his portrayal of an anguished coach in "AFL 2007 Round 20"

His performance really made us feel that Carlton wanted to win. Even a poor performance turned in by Brendon Fevola in this feature as a committed AFL player couldn't dissuade the judges.

Ok I understand what you are saying.

However, I'm suggesting this whole Carlton coaching process is an absolute charade ... it looks like the "Thomas-Saints debacle" all over again.

It smells rotten to the core ... I'm very, very suspicious.

"Why would you appoint someone who is tanking?"

No No No. I'm suggesting the other way around. You appoint somebody then not penalise them for losing ... massive difference. However, you just delay the announcement to cloud the issue.

Beautiful Blues you might be able to convince Demitriou sorry but you cant convince me. However, business is business.

A death, dumb and blind gorilla could trick Demitriou.
I don't see how Ratten has much other choice but to tank.
I don't believe it's his decision either, they want some good draft picks.
They're going to do, what they're going to do.

Ratten's going to have the biggest task next year out of ALL 16 teams.
Doubt he'll be up to the task.

Obviously Ratten impressed them enough with his interview he did and the fact that his coaching has improved the blues. The players like him etc, what more could you want from a coach? They need a coach to tutor more than a Kevin Sheedy because the Blues are going to take 2-3 years before they start becoming anything like a consistent top 4 side.

What is a death gorilla? Is it like a police attack dog, only in gorilla form?

Blues, Blues, Blues, what to do with them? I guess they are the 3rd most recent vic side to win a flag, says something really...
