Default My Thoughts On The 2007 All Australian Team

I think they picked far too many players that played in really good teams and just did a mediocre job

this comment is more directed at players like Cam Mooney and Brendan Lade.
Hamish Macintosh did a far better job than Lade but i think reputation got Lade into the squad.

Cam Mooney and Jonathan Brown should be fighting for the same position (CHF) and Jonathan Brown easily takes the cake with this one. A Daniel Motlop type player probably should be in the team instead of a big man like Cam Mooney.

Cam Mooney only did well because the players around him were so very successful. Put him into a team like Carlton and he would struggle because of the fact that the ball isn't getting driven down his throat all the time like what is happening at Geelong.

Another contentious decision is Matthew Egan over players like Bolton and Fisher.

Opinions Welcome

Not really sure i understand what you are saying.
Too many players from the top clubs? Roos and Pies both playing prelims and have 1 player between them!
Swap Lade for McIntosh, both top 4 sides?
A Daniel Motlop type player? You got B Harvey as the small in the forward line, and B Johnson and S Johnson as the mid-sized players.
Agree Mooney was perhaps a little lucky, L Franklin or N Riewoldt for me, prolly st nick the choice.
Egan was good, i'm not too upset he took Bolton's spot.
