Eagles Set To Get Shafted By Pies

Ok ... I think my creditability on this Chris Judd matter is fairly good, I've been saying all year its going to happen.

However, I have this feeling deep down its all going to end up like a very,very ugly divorce gone bad for the Eagles.

IHMO the 2 worst results for the Eagles are if Judd nominates Hawthorn or Collingwood.

Reasons

a/ Neither has 1 pick in the top 10
b/ Both are Eagles massive threats to Eagles winning a premiership over next 5 years.
c/ Cant see bottom three club dealing with either to assist them in getting Judd

I know their are a lot of Eagles fans on this board .... I wish you luck boys negotiating with these teams.

All this talk of pick number 6 + 3 players etc, what a load. Once Judd nominates his club, he wont sign off on any other club. Therefore eagles have to deal with the one club, and that one club knows if WCE don't agree to their terms, the eagles get nothing. Judd's nominated club get all the power and WCE will get a good player, or a reasonable pick.

Yip .... I smell a Port Stevens fiasco where Eagles saying nothing plus keeping our principals is better than rubbish.

If that is the case then we should hold him so he has to go into the pre-season draft and Richmond get him because they have first pick i think.If WCE lose out then so does Judd and Collingwood.Judd knows how these things go and will hopefully help the WCE get a great deal for him ,but if not the pre-season draft you go mate.

But wouldn't it be better for WC to get something rather than nothing, even if it is a reasonable draft pick. Once Judd has nominated his prefered club, WC lose quite a bit of bargaining power, and although they will still try to get the best deal they can from that club, it probably won't be what Judd's worth.

Yeah exactly. He won't go to Richmond, because if it's getting towards 5pm Friday and nothing's sorted with his preffered club, they will just say "alright, pick 32 then, quick, quick!" because it's better to get something at least. That would be one of the all time rip off trades in AFL history, Judd for pick 32, but it's better than losing him for nothing. Unless WCE feel they'd rather not give one of their premiership contenders the best player in the comp.

Judd wants to go to Collingwood (don't know why) Buckley is going to do a Robert Harvey and play another year if Judd comes so he might get a premiership medal.

Collingwood every time.
St Kilda sacked Blight and deserve to suffer for a long long time. Worst decision ever!
With that list they should have won 3 flags since 00 by now.
