It's ridiculas that some players get head starts.

Put them all at 100m and lets see who's the fastest.

Was even more ridiculas that Fev won last year

I agree with you, players shouldn't get head starts.
It's all for fun though, it makes the race a bit more even.

Not sure about his 100m credentials, but I know he represented Victoria in 800m and 1500m at national level. I think the main reason he's representing WC is out of convenience (he'll be over in Vic visiting his family).

I agree about the handicap, kills it for many of us.
